How will the elite/wolverine controllers work in this game?
Doesnt matter they have software to remap the controllers buttons. So same as all games.

I'm really thinking about getting Razer Wildcat/Wolverine for this game. Idea of D-pad positioning bugs me more everyday.

is it?? i heard good things but after usin third party controllers back in the ps1/2 days i lost interest because of the hit or miss analog stick and button feel. they were either too sensitive or too lose feelin.
I've not tried the aftermarket elite controllers. The Official Microsoft Elite controllers are pretty nice though. I'd like to know specifics about what the Wolverine brings to the table that you like for those of you that have used it. Sorry not tryin to change the topic here just curious about these aftermarket controllers.
I think the wolverines are similar to the elite. The only difference is that the wolverines have also 2 extra buttons between the bumpers and triggers (one on each side)

but it doesnt actually add an additional action to the game right??
Just quietly, I love my elite controller for eso... would definitely recommend if you can afford.

no doubt they r great but after repairin as many controllers for customers as i have its hard to overlook some of its faults. the warranty coverage bein only 90 days for a $150 is a big one :(. but i agree if i had to choose between a reg and an elite both workin i would go for the elite. now elite vs razer...that i cant comment on but i really hope to hear some first hand experiences others have had with them. i think razer gives a 1year warranty too.
I just bought another elite a few months ago and it came with a one yr warranty but maybe that's a canadian thing. No issues so far, even after it got abused by my 15yo for a month when he stayed with me this summer, lol.

lol dang. ya i have a spare one that i use with the pc. see u people from other countries r lucky when it comes to those controllers. i think the uk gets a 1 year warranty applied to them too. in the us its considered an accessory and accessories r prone to much more abuse than the console so they only get a 1 year warranty. even when u buy the xbox bundle that comes with an elite controller the console gets a 1 year warranty but the controller gets a measly 90 days. i can replace the parts when they break but the average person cant so i feel their pain.
kids r brutal man. im 29 and dont have ne but a couple of my ex gfs did and they would murder controllers if they couldnt get past parts in the game.had to hide my elites whenever they would come over since its not my kid and i cant really act like the dad in that situation lol.

The Wolverine is equal to the Elite Controllers Quality. Sticks and D-Pad are changeable and magnetized. Wolverine has two more buttons than the elite. The Wolverine has more responsive buttons (some feel like mouse clicks) which is super satisfying opposed to that mushy button press feel.
BUT it really comes down to preference in the end on if you want a traditional feel or a fresh updated controller. And wireless vs wired because the wolverine is wired only.

ooo i like the mechanical feel over the mushy feel u mentioned in the elites. in the elites thats comes from the design of how buttons r pressed....they have a jelly membrane that when you press a buttin the cone squishes down to touch a carbon track completin the circuit. if the razer one has a tickin feel maybe they use an actual button instead of a membrane like ms does. those buttons last longer than the membranes do which can tear over time from constant button mashin.
i think i might have to get one of these just because of the button feel lol. its a stupid reason to drop money on somethin i already have but i love that mech feel in KBs and controllers. thanks for the info bud.

In germany thr elite controller has also 1 year warranty. The only downside i encountered so far are the rubber grips. My palms are sweating so much while gaming the rubber grips are coming off the controller. I have to send in my elite every 3-4 month

dang u get more than 1 swap too?? in the us its 90 day warranty AND the warranty only covers 1 swap when it dies. so if u buy a brand new elite and the grips come off 31 days later and they replace it thats it. they dont honor the other 59 days u had left in ur warranty. sounds like the us customers got the short end of the stick with these controllers.

In which country are you living? In Germany this is regulated by the state. E.g. in online store you have 30 days unrestricted refunds
im in the us. we have laws that guarantee 30 day returns and some other stuff. but here controllers r allowed to be given a 90 day warranty if the company chooses to do so which ms did.
