For a MMORPG that focusses on combat 

why don’t we have a 1v1 ranked mode etc 

give competitive player a place to hang out and actually strive to be the best 

instead of just grinding in circles 

and node wars once in awhile 

Because it's an MMORPG, and not Mortal Kombat?

That’s no excuse 

when mmorpg that focus on story PVE content games like (blade and soul , guild wars 2 , etc) have better pvp content then BDO that primary focus is PVP. And doesn’t have these game mode isn’t an excuse

They do not have 1vs1 but they do have a 3vs3 in PC which they'll be adding at some point
