Long leggings permanently added to all premium outfits that are longer than even the longest dress currently on console (Venecil.) This is known from here on out as the PC NA/EU Shai Censorship patch. This in the past sparked a fair bit of controversy so I'll try and keep this strictly to a minimum of just questions and just the facts.

BDO players by now on PS4 will notice there is different in how your shai looks pre- and post this patch. Why was this added?

My understanding is also if an Xbox player changes to the Asia server region this censorship is removed?

Will you be reimbursing those of us that bought premium Shai outfits and then having out clothes patched out?

As you are well aware this does cause clipping with some outfits. (as seen on the NA/EU PC version of BDO.)

Is this permanent? Since we the PS4 players cannot change our console region like Xbox can.

IF this is a permanent change what outfits can we expect to be brought to consoles?

Is it safe to assume that anything that is on NA/EU that was censor "friendly" will be brought to console I'd like some clear expectations on what is going on, answers or lack there of will directly impact any and all pearl purchases and pearl shop purchases. I've logged 66 Days at the time of writing on my PS4 Shai I care about my character, and and my outfits not clipping. I also have spent a great deal of time and money making sure I am happy with the way my character looks.

I'm on a server in Japan, and this behavior of notifying consumers of unauthorized changes has violated Sony's regulations.  I have responded to Sony, I do n’t know if there is any improvement, if there is no improvement, I will quit the game after applying for a refund

Thank you for sharing your experience I assumed that this patch wouldn't be added to the Japanese servers. I'm sorry you are also having to deal with this. How did you contact Sony? I'd also like to make them aware of this situation.

This appears like it would fix the issues many of us are having with clipping. Will something like this be available in the future for BDO?.

I have made many posts about this issue in many different places and I am really hoping for a complete 180 on this censorship. I felt it was unnecessary to bring further attention to her. She was censored once already and now PA is bringing more. They are doing a poor job reinforcing their lore since they are allowing the teenage tamer to walk around in lingerie.

It might interest you to know that the Japanese version of Black Desert Mobile-does not have this censorship. It is my understanding that Shai was recently released on the mobile platform. I'm really not sure what's so bad about this little amount of skin showing.

I might point out that there was no mention of this in patch notes and that no one was notified of the censorship

 This is particularly interesting since if what is still the case for console the Japanese Console Version is now censored, yet the mobile version is not. What I would like to know is the BDO Mobile published by PA or is through another publisher?

Seems legit to me, Although I would definitely give this version higher than 3.5/5 stars just for the smooth gameplay

I have deleted the game for a week.

 I asked their customer service a week ago and they haven't responded.  I also reported to Sony that Sony said that we would investigate and I was not hopeful.  Since they don't care about customers, I don't need to waste time on this game.

ps:Why is the mobile version OK?  The mobile version should be Japanese.  ps4 version was Japanese before, but it is no longer

I'm trying to find more information on the state of the PS4 console version in Korea and if it had the patch or not.

I will try and keep things updated as I can I find out more information.

I for one will not allow such a disregard for consumers and will most likely not return to console unless this is reversed.

As of 03/10/2020 This video shows that Korea is still censorless or at least they are marketing the Kibelius outfit without it.

This is shady business at best and unacceptable-give us the look we were promised.

I have presented all of the information I can find and have emailed contact@pearlabyss.com directly with this issue. I am hoping to have some kind of feedback.

 I knew about the Kibelius outfit which is arguably the best use of the costume thus far.

That Florang and Vitclari are gorgeous! and I really want them yet It's really depressing to think that we may never see the MH and Sub weapon skins because of the current state of censorship ?.

It really is unfortunate that people can't adopt a sense of maturity about these things and feel entitled to hide something that wasn't even a problem.

Someone tag a CM/GM so I would get a refund for.... the bundle and you'd have to rip away my pet etc? This is the solution?

And this is indeed because of Cross Play well that answers the question. So Xbox players are once again the issue. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I can't get back my hours or playtime but this was the solution?

Australia and New Zealand players taking a big latency hit being locked to EU region on PS4. Why we not placed on NA where the ping is far better? I wonder if PA looking into it as it has been a big issue. Thanks

As a new player..... I was wondering about the Shai in the first moment, when it came to outfits. Almost everywhere (premium outfits etc.) ther e is a remark: Not for Shai.

Now, some times later I start to understand.

When we made our first Shai (my little 10-year old daughter likes to play frequently on my console (of course when I can watch what she does). The most parts of the game are ok for here, as she likes horse riding and this goes perfectly here) we were wondering about the ugly Grandma trousers. We tried the outfits in the shop  but allways this ugly trousers are looking out everywhere. She (and me also) has no idea why the Shai that way is made so undescribable un-cute..... 

This is so unbelievable ridiculous. I informed myself a bit and found out this is some kind of censorship. This is not true, really ????

Who the heck thinks that such ugly trousers are a reasonable solution for Europe ? Maybe this is ok for NA where they have less problems with hardest violence then with skin....  Or maybe some people who prefer to go swimming complete dressed for some reasons......

The more, when you look at the Korean version (or the SEA Version on PC) there is all normal.

If people are annoyed by the look of the Shai, this setting should be selectable at least (like with other outfits in Pearl shop, switchable viewing option), so each one can decide for him-/herself what he/she prefers.

What is good for the Asia people cannot be bad for us in the West I would mean.
