Yeah its strange but maybe they are testing their ability to roll out updates with MS.

I purchased my ultimate edition today and was immediately prompted to download the 32gb file.

Maybe it's the preload or they're prepping for a 2nd beta announced during tomorrow's live stream?

It's just a pre-build update. Nothing major just that we had to push an update so we can get some things started.

I think that what has been updated yesterday is the game client - the one which appeared on your console after you pre-ordered the game (I have such client but I can't launch it). 

There may be a separate client including "beta" in the name which we need to download - perhaps.

If there is a separate client I can't find it in the store yet..although I'm looking in a mobile and it doesn't always show everything

It may not be available in the market yet.. again, I'm only speculating at this point. 

The one for our preorder is ror launch, simon called it a prebuild Im assuming they put updates on it as their ready.....??14 days till beta, 28 till launch....we getyihg there??

The beta client hasn't been posted yet. The current client up there is the launch version.
