This is absolutely the worst profanity filter i have seen so far in any game, and it is making the communication in the game unbearable. Fist off i understand the need for a profanity filter, but this is too far. Other games like ESO have the ability to disable the profanity filter. I shouldn't have to spend my time trying to decipher what is being said in the chat. The fact that people have to come up with new ways to say common words makes it even worse. I should not have to read see the word class, a common MMO word, appear as "cl***" in zone chat; and then to have people replace it with "clasz" or "clazz". 

For example: "What cl*** should i play as if i want to do guild r*** or so****ing at ***ht?"

I shouldn't have to rewrite that as: "What clasz should i play if i want to do guild rayds or som/ething at nite? "

Just because the 1% wants to be an azz and use profanity in chat, doesn't mean that the 99%of the game should be forced create new words to circumvent the profanity filter. 

It could be better but it's definitely not ruining the game. A more concerning problem would be the cursor repeatedly going back to the top of your menu/first item in inventory. Just make a thread in the suggestion forum. For now just make educated guess on what was filtered.

Yes especially at Calpheon servers, day chat usually better but night time is where some of these things come out and overdo it.

I think the chat filter picking out bad slang is fine.

I do think they need to read a list of all the guilds on the server and see the lewd work around people are using.

Could be better and I don't get the logic of not being able to turn it off from the start. Insert obligatory other games do it, why can't you?

You may have some privacy settings activated that are affecting the ability to see chat o.o

Xbox live permissions blocks in game chat. I am not sure which. But I had to disable all of them to see chat. Now I get invited from bdo players to be friends
