D pad quick slot ?

Hello. Please, how do i quick slot item and skill to d pad only so i don't need to use LT or RS. It tells me to press Y in settings somewhere but i can't figure it out still. Thank you

Get to main menu -> select ring menu settings -> select desired dpad ring menu button first by cycling through them using RT -> select desired item/skill -> press A?? I'm not in front of the console.
Quick slot will only work if you have one item/skill mapped to entire ring menu slot. It will change from ring menu to hotkey.
