I planted some peppers and they have a timer of 8 hours. I played for about an hour then went to sleep. Had 7 hours sleep.
Logged in and their timer says 6 hours 30!
SO THATS BOTH THE WORKERS AND FARMS THAT ARE NOT WORKING WHEN LOGGED OUT.
I hope this is a bug that will be fixed fast, the only method at the minute is to leave the xbox on (xboxs are not designed to be on and under load 24/7! Not to mention we live in a society where we are trying to lower carbon footprints)
this is working as intended.. you will need to be AFK for workers to work >.<

Dude... do some research before making a fuss. Majority of afk stuff is supposed to go on while you are logged in the game. Same as PC version of BDO.

That's nuts!
Leaving an xbox on 24/7 under load will kill it in a few months.
To be honest it would do damage to PC's too although I guess alt stabbing and blowing the cpu priority would reduce load in that situation.

No one asks you to leave it 24/7 but occasional overnight afk session won't harm xbox one x...

Having to leave your console on for a timer that could and should carry on when offline is nuts.
Why on earth do they need you online for this? Value packs timer goes down when offline so it's clear they have the mechanics to do it.

While I feel your pain I do have to interject a little. The Xbox was meant to be a all in one entertainment system. Games tv apps, always going at some time. My elite system stayed on for years ( the time it came out until the one x came out) now my one x stays on from launch til now. Its always going. Even overnight with apps like youtube and twitch playing inthe background. Now, the only thing that stops me from overnight afk play is getting kicked from the server sometimes. The system can take it.

It's designed to be on non stop for 10 years (according to microsoft) it does this by running in low power when doing things (not as low as standby but close) apps in the background are suspended after a while (that causes a kick from the server)
On running a game is another matter, the cpu goes into high gear, the gpu too.
Easy to see, feel your console when on over night on the dashboard vs a few hours gameplay I promise you it will be noticeably hotter.
There is no need for the devs to force you to be online for stuff like this.
Ive said it before and ill say it again. Keeping an xbox on 24/7 is all personal choice. In the few years i owned a day 1 xbox 1 the only time it was off was during a power outage. It stayed on 24/7 for 7 or 8 months straight one time. NO ISSUES. And im not talking about at home screen. It had pandora, netflix, hulu or a game up and running.
Keep it off the ground. Well ventilated. And spray out any dust monthly. You will be fine.
And yes people say every console is different. Sure. But with everything u take a risk. Who is to say your xbox wont **** on you even if u turn it off?? Why do 3 pack a day smokers that live unhealthy lives live to be 110 and someone who takes care of themselves die at 55. Everything has a bit of luck and chance with it.
For those who wanna complain about their electric bill. It barely goes up. Not a valid excuse.
Lastly, just set a task and hit the home button. You use less power at home screen if u are that concerned.
If none of those help you then find a few game or quit complaining.

This. The thing is made to run 24/7 and BD does not tax it as much as other games (somehow). Especially when your just AFK fishing.
Now OG Xbox One? I’d be careful. ?

Look up Korean PC Bang. Don’t worry..its not that... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/PC_bang
They are Internet Cafes that charge by the hour and make tons of extra $$ off Korean MMOs that encourage AFK mechanics.
One feeds the other, make a AFK MMO, get more publicity at the Cafe, customers pay for more hours at the Cafe to play the MMO, customers pay for more Pearl Shop items that increase their AFK efficiency per hour.

I wondered why they did it. I always assumed less people logged on meant thier servers are less stressed. But yeah I see the logic.
Hopefully they will change it on console but I doubt it.
Love the game but hate that mechanic.

from my understanding, value packs continue to run based on our calendar/days/time and not in-game calendar/days/time.
if you need to be logged in for stuff to keep going then value packs should follow this rule too that they should only go down when your logged in fair is fair

I actually like it. We should have to be online for it to work. Besides the fact that the servers would constantly have your farms taking up space...which I don’t know how it would work since there are not home servers, you should have to put some effort in! ?
Also, this would break things like attendance rewards and limits on guilds (like 3 members online to do missions). Ultimately it would break the game for not just these reasons but server load alone.
Imagine the number of servers needed if EVERY player was constantly “on” a server!! It’s just not feasible.
Oh oh and you do know that if crops get significantly over 100% they go bad right?? So again what your asking for would just not work well.

Yes they do and I feel it’s fair as well. A subscription, which let’s face it...that’s what it is, does not pause when you choose to just quit using it. LOL
hm so when i have value pack my Workers should work when im not online? … then in hell why that dosent works? i build now for few days a ship and evrytime i go off with enough Endurance on Workers and materials there at the same Point like b4 i logged out? since i have a value pack 90d active ….

Workers will finish their last started task once you close the client. Then, after the task is done, they will go idle and start working again once you start the game again.
It's been like this since the beginning I think. The game is new ONLY on xbox.. don't expect 180 degrees changes just because few people are upset about it.
ya know im Talking About xbox XD

It's not a case of upset about it it boils down to a few things:
1) Xboxs are not designed to be under load 24/7 (they can be on 24/7 but on at dashboard or low usage app is different to on in full 3d game...before the "but my xbox is on 24/7"...good for you bit they are not designed for it and this shortens their life dramatically and in the extreme could cause a fire). The PC version has an option to shrink the app to the desktop and use nearly no resources...xbox doesn't have that option (xbox suspended apps get closed in less than an hour)
2) we live in a society where we are trying to reduce our energy consumption for the betterment of our children. There is zero point to the timers not working offline (it is better for the servers if people are not always on afk.... a post further up from the guy saying it is bad actually made my head hurt)
3) you dont always want to play the same game, on PC that's no issue, use the "to tray option" and load up another game. On xbox you cant do that.
If the PC and xbox build were identical then it would be a mute point but this doesn't work for the console. It is a bad idea and in the long run this could cost pearl a lot of cash (8 months a year down the line when xboxs start dieing this game could be the cause....ok unlikely they will get sued but it's possible)
Important: research the xbox architecture and the always on for 10 years declaration before posting "mines on for x time" understand the difference between a console on under load and on idle.
If you cant be bothered to research this then turn the xbox off for 2 hours, then on leave idle for 5 hours....feel the tempeture, hear the noise of the fans. Now turn off for 2 hours and load Netflix, leave idle for 5 hours.... feel the tempetures, listen to the fan.. now turn off for 2 hours and load black desert, leave idle/fishing etc for 5 hours... feel temperatures listen to the fan. The results will be obvious.
If I could move my progress, my items, my Pearl's, my value pack status to PC I would. Sadly i have spent to much to not play it but i will be at a massive handicap as I wont leave my xbox on when not playing for more than a couple of hours and never when not home.
