Hey hey. I've never played the OG pc version, but this post is for those who are utterly new to BDO. So if you are a vet feel free to post anything you noticed In the Xbox version that may be tip, secret, trick, etc
Couple of things I found interesting
1. Even though i haven't tried it on all the characters. Some characters can Block when you press in the opposite direction like any real fighting game. I've noticed you can also do some counter/parry damage. I've noticed it even works on magic and boss characters. Ive tried it with musa, striker, warrior, and wizard.
2) i don't know if this is a product of gathering level but you can gather while swimming underwater
3) not really a tip or anything but your pets seem to be Jesus they can freely walk on water, but ya horse.....
4) speaking of horses. If its fat af i mean overweighted you can call it or use the horse flute and it will move faster
5)you can grow unique Furniture like some fairy tale XD
6)lastly some npc quests reward you with nullifying fall damage for a few seconds so you can free fall and avoid long winding stairs XD
What have you guys found?
If you buy pearls, you get special title called wallet warrior and you become better than poor players.
Sorry couldn't resist
Probably obvious to everyone besides me, but you don't need sugar to tame a horse and can ride your normal horse back to stables, with wild horse following after. You can eat up 10 sugar lumps to tame a horse, or just wait next to it for a minute & watch body language. They will periodically lower their heads, ears splayed, with one hind hoof lifted a little (like a real horse at rest). Third or so time is when to mount up. Once you've succeeded in getting on its back, you can dismount & it will follow (albeit slowly) wherever you go. So you can take your normal horse or wagon back to the city with you. Saves trips.

1) yes once awakenings come most all classes have a backwards movement block, not as strong as say a warrior, valk or DK block, but it still could take the brunt of some damage from a range attack.
2) underwater gathering will be more viable once Margoria's content comes
3) it was stupid they didn't give horses a swim mechanic.
4) yeah horses don't have weight limits from characters, but if you over weight them they are slow and move to a set movespeed
5) that's only for certain event farming items - the special seeds you get from leveling it up or random given items during events
6) normally they give you that so you can jump from a very high distance, sounds like you have done the wizards alter in Heidel's quest

Underwater gathering is not in the game yet. Tested on multiple coral nodes.
And no, the furniture items can be gotten from regular vendor seeds. Got 2 tulip lamps from those recently.

I know coral isnt in the game it comes with Margoria, or i would be stocking up to make Sailor clothes and Gold Coral belts.
and again i know, when you level up farming you get a special seed that has to be planted, and a few random quest rewards give these.

If you know, why not just say that underwater gathering isn't in the game?
And again, why say they are only event items when they're not, if you know?

maybe because i assumed he found a quest that had underwater gathering in it, but i said it becomes more viable with Margoria. So that should spell it out, or do i need to give more detail and say Margoria is a patch that is planned to come out later for xbox?
Because only a few items in game and more event items like the Kamasylve decretive tree, and the cherry blossom tree can be farmed up that are event items. Farm items, that make house items.

Dude you're missing the point entirely. You said that you can only grow furniture, with event items. That is not correct. The seeds sold by PERMANENT NPCs grow the household items. Those seeds ARE the ones you get from reaching that farming level. Very small amount of silver.
theres a secret cave next to serendia shrine with loads of emerald minable spots there

These seeds are NPC sold items which i did say were in the game and were also rewards for farming leveling up. i never said they NEED event items. This is an example quest item. This is a prime example of an event item given to us by loyalty to grow for house items. I have all of this crap on my PC account, and remember doing all the events for house items.

Yeah, you kinda did say exactly that. But we're getting off topic. We definitely cleared it up for others though! ?

No i was not talking about coral nodes. I did try to go to those nodes tho, plus some beautiful inviting seashells lmao. I was diving off of velia and the rivers near heidel. I only got the prompt to gather 3 times tho the 3rd time might have been a glitch cause i was a very near to a walk way.
In regards to seeds and event items. I received unusual fruit from harvesting. It said it'll only work when The Dream Horse roars across the land. That definitely sounds like something coming in a later update. Do you have any intel on that?

I do. Those farming byproducts are used to make "Stonetail Fodder", which is one of the items you can use in Awakening a Courser. Very excited for that btw.
What could you gather just off of Velia, out of interest? I've been spending a lot of time at sea lately, and would like to know what I could get out there with our current content ?

That sounds interesting. Im gonna search whats in store. The stuff i gathered were lack luster couple of rando herbs (wild grass, sunshine, weeds) its probably due to the coastline ????? still makes me happy it happened lol

Ohhhh you had me so excited for new materials, I spent a couple of hours swimming around Velia Bay trying to gather to no avail. Well played sir, well played!
Has anyone discovered anything since the new updates?

Other than things like Silk nodes being added, and 3 new kinds of ores dropping (Vanadium, Titanium, and Mythril), as well as varying plants and farm nodes, I've not found anything hidden.
Standardized Timber Squares were slipped in during last update. Also, the NPC Philaberto Falasi in Port Epheria (gives the daily quest for Epheria Boat Design tokens) now has the Amity levels displayed to unlock needed chat option for the dailies. (dailies are still not in, probably not until Margoria)
But you can at least build up Amity with him now. You will need at least 8k Amity.

The only thing you need amity for Philaberto Falasi is his guild galley plan.
Im looking at him right now. Each of his conversations is showing 1k Amity.

I'll go up and look at what he's got. On PC I never had to amity for any daily only when i got my guild it's 2nd galley did we need amity for anything

Ok found what you are looking at from my PC account. I don't know anyone who actually did any of this once they found out workers had to be remade weekly for the boat and cost a fortune.
so TL DR for any one new. you do not need 1,000 amity for anything related to the boat to get started with it. only if you WANT to upgrade your workers and pay about 50mil in sea monster items to keep him going week to week.

Oof
Level as many alts as you can makes farming energy, contribution points and gold so much easier.
Farm Gold, buy items from market less stressful if someone else has done the upgrading for you.
Speak to and do quests for everyone that offers you them.
Farm all the best drop areas to death.
Farm the Giants for their spears 7k each on market so around 20 million per good farm session.
Dont be bullied by better players when farming, its not their god given right to force you out of an area ( just get all your mates to come farm with you)
If you can afford it, buy as much as possible from the pay to win store ( i have tears stock to last me a lifetime )
Do not buy Kazarka or Liverto weapons off the market, they are well over priced and impossible to upgrade at low levels. Start with a Yuria weapon from arms trader in Caltheon much cheaper and a good starting weapon.
You will get gifted better armour and better armour drops as you start hitting level 30 or higher that will do you until you can afford better.
Your best horse and pets can be shared between all your alts, just remember to stable the horse.
Read Guild Contracts before joining them, some may be too expensive to leave if you dont like them. and most of them dont have enough funds to pay you but happily take your silver if you leave them.

1) Don't be salty when someone out plays you and out grinds you, just leave, and channel hop, easy as that. Don't bring all your friends - 90% of the time someone else has a bigger stick and you will just look even more dumb. (been there, done that, got the t-shirt)
2) Night Vendor is coming and his Kzarkas will range from 89mil - 450mil for a base level. This also goes for most Boss armor with a slight difference of 70mil - 450mil. Lowest Dandelion ive ever seen is 115mil but up to 490mil. In short keep your pre-orders up till we get night vendor. Lock them item (if we get that function) and pull down your pre-order if you get a better price from him.
3) if you are complaining about 300k to leave a guild you have bigger issues than you think. Like your 20mil a session at Giants might be a little far fetched.

Am i right in thinking the original poster was asking us to give advice for new players not for myself, im sitting on around 900million silver so no issues leaving a guild, i find higher level and better geared players will bully lower level players out of grinding areas but if you have mates bring them in not for back up but to karmabomb these selfish idiots. And at what point as a new player would you have 89 - 450million to upgrade your weapon. Like i said this post was aimed at helping new player who may have just hit level 50 trying to get better. Farming players dont lose karma
4 minutes ago, ChilMeiSTer1968 said:but if you have mates bring them in not for back up but to karmabomb these selfish idiots.
See as a PC player I have something just for that. Red Alt. A Character who is just as geared as my main, who is negative 1mil already and doesn't care about being perma red. Don't waste your time Karma bombing just puts you on the sh** list for more guilds to grief you even more.
If grinding and getting kicked out of a spot triggers you to karma bomb, go back to Final Fantasy 14 or Elder Scrolls Online. Here on Black Desert it's a game mechanic and unfortunately it's king of the hill wins the spot or just simply change channels and move on get back to your grind.

Bless you petal, i love players like you. So hard and scary in a virtual world totally opposite to your real life i bet. Pmsl so much i knew not long after quoting you that you would come back with a post like this, god you can read fanboys like books and trigger them to put on the virtual hard guy mode in an instant.
God i love forums, its the only place you can get a good laugh these days. (RED ALT) lol my sides are splitting, you go girl bet your guild worships you. No more please im gonna wet myself rofl
