I'd like to see the communities opinion on this. It's out in the wild now, no going back. I'm a bit of a mix bag myself on this. We will need the higher AP for the new content this will do that, for some. That much is understood. I feel like we would have been better off with awakenings to do this. They claim to want to do things to help new players. Are we past this point now? I'll most likely be able to get Tet piece(s) out of my tri gear that I have by the weekend. Are most of the newer players at this point as well? After reading server chat, people seem pretty divided. Is it further widening the gap from vets-new players? I personally agree upon that. Yes there are many players who are non pc vets who are ready for Tet+ gear. I just feel like awakenings would have been the first to roll out. Pen gear in first three months? Seems a little fast. 

Never played BDO before it came to Xbox and I don’t even have +15 on everything. Thing is, it seems to me unless you are actively researching this stuff the game doesn’t really direct you towards anything and honestly, I melt everything in PVE as is. I’d rather have the rest of the classes as advertised on the main site. 

I have Full tri gear now but in my opinion its just useless and will rase a gape between 250 ap and 180 ap users. So the „ FAMOUS SKILLED ONE SHOTERS“ will fck every normal Player totaly up..

If you don't have tons silver stocked up id say wait to even attempt TET. It could set you back big time 

They put in for the try hards, so they may feel like titans stepping on ants. Ive only seen 1 person get pen, completely forgot his name but he got it like 20mins after servers went up

I always thought, and still do, that the Enhancement system is complete garbage in this game and honestly makes me lose interest in gear progression.

Because it’s not about finding that new piece of gear, it’s about upgrading the same gear you had at lvl 5 cause some PC website said buy Grunils and Heve n you are set till boss gear. At that point, it’s a boring rng to upgrade that same gear and potentially break it on this cash grab enhancement system. 

I don’t see the fun in it, at all.

We are in agreement. Getting real tired of having to craft Grunil gloves to restore max dur because no-one's selling unenhanced. Could just save for Tri to be fair, but that bottlenecks my silver for a while. 

And don't get me started on accessories. 

Yes we need. I have full tri armor and weapon set and not gonna try tet for a long time. But if u need tri acc u need 35+ fs. People who dont spend real money couldnt reach that fs easily bcs of no tet pen. We had to get that fs from tri tries or keep trying to get tri blue acc s. If ur duo item become tri with 30-33 fs u lose so much time and money. But whales easily get 25 fs and put 10 valks cry on it in order to get 35 fs. This situation make huge difference between p2w guys and f2p guys. 

After tet pen update we can try tet to get more fs for tri acc attemps. However p2w guys need to spend so much silver to get tet and that +10 valks cry do not make that huge difference. And even if they get tet it will not get so much difference.

I disagree with the 35 plus for  accessories there is no set number. I got one tri accessory at 50 stacks the other at 24 stacks. I like to take chances cause well rng is rng. I start my tets from 35 and go up but thats just me.

That's how I feel. I don't have a ridiculous amount of silver sitting around. So it is worth my time to melt costumes for cron stones. Even then, not like I have hundreds of Hards or shards. Nor do I just buy buy buy until I have em all upgraded. I spend either 50-100 each paycheck. That hasn't really gotten me anything more then just tri gear and a few QoL purchases.

Yeah that's why I think we got it. It's just a race to your wallet. When all the new players see guilds only recruiting 500+soon and how they get smacked around easily. They'll quit or pony up to continue on. 

I got my kzarka to tet but I think it was too soon. I think what's likely to happen is that they'll see a quick influx of cash from the whales but the people who can't realistically get tet/pen and even all tri are going to see the gap widen quickly, get stomped and start to leave the game. In the short-term it's good for PA but in the long-term it's probably not great. But it was also inevitable.

Inevitable with their track record. If it was just Tet at this point. It'd be easier to live with. Granted there will only be a handful of people with pen weapons. But you will notice them in node wars. I feel awakening and more classes rather then Tet/Pen would have been a wiser choice.

Yeah I agree I was really hoping PEN would be scrapped tbh...

The true pay to win doesn't start until tet-pen. We all knew it was coming. a buddy of mine got 2 pens yesterday and rest is tet. right over 560 GS lol costed him about 5000 dollars. Now hes steam rolling kids. lol its funny to watch....yet everyone saying the game isn't pay to win.

those players who get that geared end up getting bored and quit and sell their accounts because they have nothing to do, no one to really compete with. Having no one to really challenge you for 6 months will get very boring eventually. 

plus let the black star weapon be an omen that no piece of gear is permanent and worth rushing to MAX level for. Armor, Accessories, and Weapons all on the chopping block to be obsolete. Full TET boss, and TET yellow accessories is a way better investment than PEN anything for the next year. 

I feel it was very unnecessary, I was saying that when people were hoping for it with the last update. Oh well. I'm just going to stick with full TRI armor until I get some boss armor, seems like a huge waste to TET gree armor, but thats just me. One day when I'm feeling brave I'll probably upgrade my Kzarka to TET, or try to at least though I'm so far behind with accessories it'll be a while and by then I'll be working on my Awakening weapon. At this point in the game though not too many people are going to have tons of TET or PEN gear so running all TRI will be fine in most scenarios.

Yea im tetting all my green armor until i get boss gear. Once i get tet boss armor the green items will always sell to someone so i get some money back is the way i see it. Im at 3 tets but i agree not many running around full tet and rare to see many with pens. Tri is still a good spot to be.

Also if i had all pen i wouldnt play anymore whats the point? That just my opinion would be very boring with no one to compete against like you stated.

There is something to be said to this. This is how I personally feel. When your gear outclasses everyone so not much skill is involved, it takes away all the enjoyment of winning an encounter. But there are many who enjoy the opposite, of just steam rolling with one to two attacks and onto the next. I still would love to have seen the majority of classes rolled out before we got tet/pens. It will be very tough to compete with a class released later down the road for people who don't have all the time in the world to rush to 60+.
