I was the angry PS4 gamer for a long time, I ended up chucking my PlayStation 4 just to be able to get Black desert.

I had to save up and get an Xbox One x and I really hope that they do cross platform between Xbox one and PlayStation 4...

It should become cross platform I hope so, no need to have 3 different versions of the game. It will make the player base larger. 

Well they probably need to rebuild the engine for ps, and also best would be to isolate the PS4 in the beginning or they would cry everywhere about being behind in progress, but who knows.

Anyway PS4 was announced to start preorders next month and we will figure it out soon

It would save a lot of people that just bought the Xbox One only for Black desert. Time, patience and money.

For Pearl abyss it would be a smart choice allowing both consoles to be able to play together allowing people from both consoles.

Final fantasy realm reborn did it with PS4 and PC.

Dauntless does it for Xbox One PS4 and PC.

Since KAKAO games publishes the American version for BDO PC version.

PC version / console wouldn't work too well since the PC version has been out for several years. Now between the consoles yes it could work and it can be a big profit for Pearl abyss and more enjoyment for us players.

I think to start out they need there own thing then later on maybe 6months merge them. All just talk but if it was cross platform they would get farmed, harassed at grind spots and never gear up lol

Cross platform is a terrible thing for this game. In it's current state, look at the lack of servers, ESPECIALLY on EU. To do this they'd need to add a LOT more, and they've been fairly silent on this intention, so it's safe to assume that they aren't coming for a while, and therefore, nor is cross platform.

They were quiet and boom new class lol so you never know with PA they what they want when they want

I gave up my PlayStation 4 and about 50 games just to play Black desert on console, Xbox One x! If I had known that it was coming for the PS4 I would have simply waited.

it's not even a technical problem at all since sony uses borrowed microsoft/xbox stuff (Playstation runs on windows 10 same as xbox as well as using a lot of other software made by Microsoft) so they are relatively the same... although xbox is more powerful.

B.) aren’t you the dude that tried telling everyone you were at 530 gear score over a month ago? If so, you would think being so high up on the gear score list would give you plenty of time to know the answer in part A.

C.)  We have no idea whom asked for whom. For all we know PA might have the upper hand. So how about we just all wait and see?

They can add Olivia server like pc, with extra drop rate and xp buff for then, and it's obvious they 'll add more servers ,more players more servers

If there will be no crossplatform its obvious that we will watch bdx slowly dying. They could reach limited number of players in xbox and many of them just tried and left game after 2 or 3 months. now they announced ps4 version and probably many ppl will leave for fresh start or just for turning back to their favorite console.

Nope. But okay. 

Could be a long way down the line, we haven't got all the classes in yet. If they can get the engine to cross play, increase the server instances and balance it all then why not.

I don‘t think so. Xbox version isn‘t dying because of missing cross-plattform. I‘m playing for years the PC version and soon after release the first are crying that the game will die. And look at it now, it is still crowing and bringing new classes and content.

But yes, you are right when saying it has a limited player base. I have seen a lot of players coming and also leaving. The most important reasons why people leaving is the strong RNG in the game, the bad balanced open PvP and also a lot are not interested in forced PvP at all. This will really limit the player base.

I‘m confinced, that if PA is reducing the RNG, bringing balanced PvP and also separate PvE servers, the game would grow massively in player base. I know so many of my PSN- and XBLive-Friends are not playing Black Desert because of the forced PvP.

Back to the topic: Crossplay would be great if we could use one account for PS4 and XBox. I‘m not switching from XBox to PS4, because none of my friends is playing it because of the forced PvP. I also think, the XBox is the better technical solution (hardware, servers, network ...) for the game. But if I would have one account for both systems, I would install it also on PS4 and give it a try.

The my opinion video game companies rip off gamers when they create single player games and or MMORPG online games and make different platform gamers pay for each version and if you buy one copy should work for any of the newer generation systems, same goes for PS3 Xbox 1 whatever the Xbox was before Xbox One x.

I don't think I've seen such entitlement. Putting it bluntly, PA will not make this game cross platform because you upped and sold your PS4. That's on you.

I was just saying what I did to be able to play Black desert on console, I'm not putting the blame on anybody.

Simply venting my own thoughts, decisions and ones that I do not regret.

It will be perhaps not from the start but give it time and it will its in there interest as well to do so. As it would benefit the game and keep in mind BDX was ment to be Xbox only but now the PS4 is joining in so there is no doubt it will. 

It is not unlikely this will be introduced in the long-run, but not any time soon i'm afraid. We're rather ahead and it'd be a lot of work to get this working.

Xbox and PS4 means far more than Black Desert and, since these two giants don't have clear plans to cooperate too much, I don't see why they would make exception just for this game.

PA has no power here since they are on mercy of platform runners. Besides, Simon already denied the cross play in their recent stream. 

Not until both Sony and Microsoft create a cross service policy will we see platform merge for BDX or any other game.

I used to be a PC gamer so this is all weird to me and I would have thought that the company would make it cross platform, all online games that are on console should be cross-platform.

It's like this, save Pearl abyss only made a version of Black desert for Alienware computers...

Which is what I did when I first started Black desert online way back when it started with an unknown publisher by the name of Dayumm or Daum games.
