Is there a way to see which BF I am currently using? I see icons in the UI but not their effects.

Sadly no. On pc you'd be able to hover your mouse over any icon for a description. No such option yet for console.

Yes I know the PC function. Must be fixed on console because its important.

Make the same icons on the bufffood itself so you can at least recognize it

Would be difficult for that to be done considering foods mostly give more than a single buff and a lot of foods give the same buff just differentiate in the active time of the buff. Would be easier for you to just pay attention to what you are eatting and not carry around several foods at once.

I play with 4-5 chars "active" thats not easy to now for all. Sure, thats my "problem" but my suggestion would be at least a start, certainly not the optimal solution but better than nothing - as is the case at the moment.

Again, when I press X (on the bufffood), I see the thumbnail from the bufffood and below the description. Just make the icons under the thumbnail, that's enough Now you can see what you have to take based on the duration or you don't see the icons, so take it.

The best thing would of course be to see the active bufffoods in the options or in the inventory. I think we are still far, far away from a mouse(over) function with which you can maybe even set your own UI as it is possible on the pc or view directly the effect from the food.

Yeah, annoying but we should get cron meals and draughts soon so it will only be two icons.

Buff foods can really make a huge difference in gameplay, especially during intense battles or grinding sessions. I always make sure to stack the right buffs before heading into tough fights. 🍖🔥
