Currently, rough stone is sitting at over 46,000 pre-orders, having hit the price cap of 3,770 silver, more than a month ago. This indicates a massive disparity between supply and demand, and the inherent value of this item is far more than it can currently be sold for.
Another issue is that logs have a price cap of just over double that of rough stone, at 7,550 silver. If a player were to gather and sell items to the CM, then there's far more incentive to chop trees, compared to mining ore. It's also generally faster to gather from trees, due to greater resource node density in most areas.
Therefore, I am suggesting an increase on the max price of rough stone, perhaps to 7,550, to give parity with logs. This will be good for the in-game economy in the long run and provide more incentive for players to gather ore resources.

True, the demand is impossible to satisfy and the price should move up. I did few good gathering sessions on rough stone hoping for good money but the income was still much lower than what I can actively get from grinding miru so, until the price increases, there is no point to bother.
Would this be fair for other items' caps? Some will probably disagree.
I haven't looked to see the past trades of those 2 items but logs may be higher due to the fact that you need 80000 logs for your future sailboat Also I believe you can only get at the max are 2 logs per tree I have been farming pine timber 75000 for the same sailboat as the logs (instead of node production because you need to farm logs yourself no nodes) to be proactive for the Margoria update, and I have over 2k more pine timber than logs stored. I'm not sure what the rate is on rough stones but I remember getting more that 2 make per stone.

Logs are currently at 7.5k preorders, but the price chart (in the Black Desert+ app) for last month shows a few negative spikes, which means the orders have been filled and the price has dropped occasionally. Rough stone is now up to 49k preorders, and has a completely flat price chart, so there's probably a lot less supply, compared to logs

Ideally, the price caps of quite a few items should be looked at; many need a minimum price drop due to oversupply. I've called out rough stone in particular because the number of preorders is especially high. I'm not suggesting any change to Pearl item prices.
One big benefit of adjusting price caps, for a more free market, is that a higher volume of silver will be traded through the marketplace. Due to the tax, this acts as a silver sink for the server and will help prevent inflation in the long run, which I believe has been an issue in the PC version of BDO.

I didn't say current price or any price. I'm talking about the total count of trades each has, and maybe that effects the pricing. I'm sorry my first post wasn't clearer.

Yeah, overall trades may be higher (It doesn't say in the app currently) but I'm looking at this from a supply and demand perspective. So, for example, if 10,000 logs are needed per day, and 9,000 are sold then that's a build up of 1,000 orders per day. Another hypothetical example for rough stone, would be that there are 5,000 buy orders per day, but only 1,000 being sold, then 4,000 extra preorders are being added per day. In these instances, there's more demand for logs, however it's being satisfied a lot more than rough stone.
Maybe it goes by the demand of the usage each has, logs have 34 uses, rough stones has 21 uses. That is the only thing that could explain the price gap between the two items. See the items usage below.
