We're informing you of the latest update applied after the scheduled maintenance on Wednesday, Dec 13.

 

Today's update brings PvE updates for certain classes, Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Underground), and more.
We hope these help you embark on better adventures in game, Adventurers!

 

 

Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Underground)

The Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Underground) fights will be focused around the gigantic Gyfin Rhasia Tower of Transfusion found in each of the rooms. There are petrified Ancient Weapons located near the towers, and the Gyfin Rhasia Decimators can be found roaming nearby. You can awaken the petrified Ancient Weapons (Flamen, Guard, Crusher) to fight them. Each of the Gyfin Rhasia have an “emotion” they hold. Defeating them will rewards you with different buffs. The buffs give additional damage against monsters of the same emotion. This adds a layer of strategy to your rotation as you will need to take proper advantage of the buffs for efficiency.

Additionally, the path in Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Underground) is long and it can hold as many Adventurers as there are “Towers of Transfusion.” So, your rotation won’t overlap as much with another Adventurer’s rotation. We tried to present Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Underground) as a fresh new monster zone our veteran Adventurers can enjoy. We hope you will enjoy defeating these Ancient Weapons.

  • Deep beneath Gyfin Rhasia Temple, petrified Gyfin Rhasia Ancient Weapons that have recalled their memories from the Ancient Kingdom of Orzeca in the distant past have been discovered. These petrified Ancient Weapons contain the "Burdens of Ruin" of Gyfin Rhasia.
    • If there are different types of "Burdened" petrified Ancient Weapons near one another, the Ancient Weapons become more powerful as their Burdens become entangled.
  • You can obtain the following buffs when you defeat each of the "Burdened" petrified Ancient Weapons:

  • The more petrified Ancient Weapons found near the Gyfin Rhasia Tower of Transfusion that are defeated, the more burdens the Gyfin Rhasia Tower of Transfusion absorbs from the defeated petrified Ancient Weapons. The [Ruinous] Butcher of Gyfin Rhasia has a low probability of spawning amongst the mixed "Burdens."

    • The Ancient Weapons of [Anger], [Denial], and [Resolve] will deactivate when the [Ruinous] Butcher of Gyfin Rhasia spawns.
    • The Lost Civilization's Ruin buff will flow through your body when you defeat [Ruinous] Butcher of Gyfin Rhasia.
    • Adventurers with the "Lost Civilization's Ruin" buff will have the following ability:
      • A tremendous amount of extra damage to all monsters in the Gyfin Rhasia Temple Underground.
  • You can find [Despair] Gyfin Rhasia Decimators near the Gyfin Rhasia Tower of Transfusion at the Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Underground).

    • When you lure [Despair] Gyfin Rhasia Decimator to the Gyfin Rhasia Tower of Transfusion and defeat it, the burdens of [Despair] Gyfin Rhasia scatter, and you'll encounter a group of [Fragment of Despai] Gyfin Rhasia Decimators.
  • Added two daily quests you can accept and complete in the Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Underground).
    • You can accept and complete the quest with a Lv. 58 or higher character while Quest Type "Other" is activated.
    • You can find "[Daily] Chaos From Below" and "[Daily] True Rest" under "[Contribution] [Lv. 58] Kamasylvia" from the Recurring tab in the Quest window.

New Additions & Improvements
Class Changes
Today's patch brings about skill add-ons changes.

Previously, skill add-on effects were divided by 3 tiers, but some effects were too effective, potentially causing some discrepancies between classes.
Thus, we decided to implement a more simpler, more convenient, albeit fair, change to all skill add-ons entirely.

Skill add-on tiers are now determined by skill cooldown timers.
And skill add-on tiers are now only discernable by the duration of the granted effects.

There may be a brief period of adjustment required for getting used to these new skill add-on changes, but we graciously ask for your understanding as we sought to implement these changes to make skill add-ons more accessible and enjoyable for all adventurers, old and new.

The attack areas and damage of certain class skills have been adjusted along with the skill add-ons changes.
We focused on considering class-specific traits and motions for this update, with priority placed upon fixing the attack areas of difficult-to-use skills, and for skills that were difficult to adjust, we carefully increased their damage numbers instead.

This is the 2nd installment of PvE balance changes, and we've been considering factors such as defensive effects, attack areas, accuracy, evasion, and others. Such factors inevitably affect PvP, so we plan on carrying out PvP balance changes as well. Along with such PvE/PvP changes, we are also planning to adjust the accuracy and evasion of monsters so these stats are meaningful for classes in monster zones.

Unlike PvE, balancing classes for PvP is a relative adjustment between classes, as opposed to being compared with the stats of monsters. Therefore, temporary adjustments such as simply adjusting the attack area or damage may only bring about confusion to our adventurers, and thus require a decent amount of time to test and properly implement changes that won't completely destabilize the game.

For example, today's patch brought changes not only to attack areas but to relevant visual effects of skills as well. If we only sought to change the attack area of a skill without touching the visuals as well, it would cause unintended confusion to our adventurers as well. Therefore, in adjusting the attack areas of skills, we had to simultaneously carry out touch up work on the visual effects of each related skill as well.

For the sake of many more adventurers to fully enjoy our game, we will continue combing through our data and deliberate constantly to implement meaningful changes.

    • If a skill has a Prime version, the cooldown of the Prime skill's max rank is taken into consideration for all variations of the skill (I, II, Absolute, etc.)
      • (Ex 2. Flash Slash has a Prime version of the skill, and its max rank is Prime: Flash Slash IV, which has a cooldown of 12 sec, thus making it tier 2 for all variations (I, II, Absolute, etc.))

Skill Add-on Rules
  • All skill add-on effects follow the same existing rules for how buffs and debuffs are applied.
- Identical effects are prioritized based on the length of their duration. Effects with longer durations must run out for those with shorter ones to be applied.
- Identical effects with identical durations will refresh the overall duration upon being re-applied.
- A skill's add-on effects and inherent effects can be applied at the same time.
    • All saved skill add-on settings and skill presets have been reset during the Dec 13 (Wed) maintenance due to the skill add-on system revamp.
      • All adventurers have been issued an [Event] Secret Book of Old Moon (3 Days) via Mail during the Dec 13 (Wed) maintenance.
      • Characters can freely enter the Battle Arena via the menu from Lv. 56 to set their skill add-ons through NPC Tachros.

Maehwa
The existing Maehwa Succession featured skills with lengthy cooldowns, which during PvE, required players to intermittently use Red: Divider or deplete their stamina to fill these gaps.
However, Red: Divider had an issue of constant stamina depletion. While we considered adjusting the cooldowns of all skills, a significant reduction might drastically alter the gameplay.
To address this, we set the PvE damage of Red: Divider on par with the main skills, eliminated both its cooldown and stamina consumption, and transformed it into a primary skill used whenever its cooldown is reset. This comprehensive approach aims to solve the overall skill cooldown issue, the stamina drain of Red: Divider, and the general lack of damage output.

  • Improved the difficulty and patterns of some Bosses that appear in the Black Shrine.

Exchanging Latent Auras of Bosses

The exchange locations for Boss's Latent Auras used to vary depending on the boss, but with this update, the exchange NPCs changed. Now, you can exchange the auras with the blacksmith in towns and major cities regardless of the boss. Previously, you were required to exchange the boss's gear box before exchanging the latent auras for Memory Fragment. This rule was established to ensure each Family could acquire boss gear, which was hard to obtain. However, in response to the current situation, we have made improvements. You can now directly exchange Boss's Latent Auras for Memory Fragments without exchanging any boss gear. And if you want to exchange the aura for boss gear, now you can exchange them multiple times.

Node/Conquest War

When building a fort for Node/Conquest Wars, it's crucial to consider not only the Node War area but also the surrounding terrain and distance to the nearest town. However, we've noticed that battles can become unfairly biased due to enemies resurrecting in Safe Zones near allied forts. This issue stems from the fact that, unlike towns, resurrection points within Safe Zones are not consistent. This variability has posed a significant challenge for Adventurers responsible for fort construction, as it's difficult to predict for each Node War. To address this and ease the burden of constantly determining Safe Zone resurrection points, we've decided to disable the Safe Zone resurrection feature.
  • Disabled the "Resurrect at the closest Safe Zone" option for participants who die during Node/Conquest Wars.
 
Additionally, during Node/Conquest Wars, players often die outside the designated combat area, which previously forced them to resurrect in a Safe Zone or town, far from the battle. This not only caused delays in rejoining the fight but also disrupted the overall battle dynamics, especially from the leader's perspective. To resolve this, we've now enabled players to resurrect at their fort, even if they die outside the designated area, allowing for quicker re-engagement in the battle. We've also noted that restrictions are not consistently applied outside the node area in nodes with stat limits. We recognize this issue and are exploring further improvements.
  • Enabled resurrection at the Fort/Command Post/Field HQ for participants who die outside the Node War area during Node/Conquest Wars.

 

 

NPC, Background, Sound

  • Vov in Epheria Sea has moved to a nearby island.
    • Accordingly, the following quests available from Vov have been changed.
      • [Daily] Epheria's Best Sailor
      • [Daily] Small Worry of a Castaway
      • [Daily] Big Worry of a Castaway

UI

Black Spirit's Adventure: Auto Dice Roll

  • Added an auto dice roll function for Black Spirit's Adventure.
    • When activated, it rolls all the dice you have while the window is open.
    • Does not auto roll Black Spirit's Special Dice.
  • Changed the overall animation of the Black Spirit's Adventure to be faster.

  • Improved the success message for the Mythical Awakening of the Dream Horse.
  • Updated the Central Market's Sell Items List to include items in registration queue.
    • Now you can check the registered time for items priced at 20 billion Silver or more, or for certain items, under the "In Registration Queue" tab of the Central Market.
  • Added the registered time of items listed for sale on the Central Market.
  • Removed the Monster Zone category from the Find NPC UI.
  • Relocated the lock button for horse, wagon, and ship skills to the front of the skill name for increased visibility.
  • Added description to mount growth reset that 1 reset item is consumed per reset.
  • Added a Skill Guide cooldown bar function for novice adventurers who find it difficult to utilize the Skill Cooldown UI.
    • When you use a skill displayed in the Skill Guide, the skill bar in the Siill Guide fills up according to their cooldown.

  • Fixed the issue where the game would occasionally close when selecting the Furniture tab, a subcategory of the Interior tab in the Pearl Shop.
  • Mitigated the issue where the Mythical Arduanatt's wings intermittently disappeared and caused a fall during using Wings of Swiftness while mounted.
  • Fixed the issue where furniture installed in the Calpheon Slum 2-3, 3F residence did not appear in the "Visit" mode.
  • Fixed the issue where the Fence of Abundance icon was not displayed.
  • Fixed the issue where the game would occasionally crash when closing the World Map.
  • Improved the issue where the game would occasionally crash while moving the UI.
  • Disabled the "Resurrect at the closest Safe Zone" option for participants who die during Node/Conquest Wars.
  • Changed so that when taking out an item from the Crystal Inventory in the Find My Item (CTRL+F) window, the Black Spirit is not summoned and the Crystal Inventory opens.
  • Fixed the issue where the horse's status bar UI would not display when the horse moved onto a ship and then back to land.
  • Fixed the issue where it was not possible to climb onto the terrain near the NPC Priko on Iliya Island while underwater.
  • When building a house, the progress icon displayed above the base has been modified to rotate clockwise on the world map.
  • Fixed the issue where some text overlapped in the Node Tax Info window during Node Wars.
