Base Energy Increase (30 → 50)

We've increased the base Energy of a newly created Family ready to embark on an adventure from 30 to 50. (The maximum Energy of existing adventurers will also increase by 20.)
In addition, the Energy costs to acquire knowledge in the "Balenos" region, where many adventurers begin their new journey, has generally decreased.
We hope that rookie adventurers, who have taken their first step into the world of Black Desert, will feel less burdened when spending Energy to acquire Knowledge, thus learning more about the world.
  • Increased the base Energy for all adventurers: 30 → 50
    • Now creating a new Family will see adventurers begin with 50 Energy. Existing adventurers will see their max Energy increased by 20.
  • Reduced the Energy costs of acquiring Knowledge in Balenos.

Atoraxxion Prerequisite Quest Now Optional

One of the inconveniences when teaming up with other adventurers on Season Servers was the prerequisite quest to enter Atoraxxion, especially for new adventurers. Now you can enter Atoraxxion without having completed the prerequisite quest.
During development of entering Atoraxxion through its own unique UI instead of via the Ancient Stone Chamber, we felt this was a task that required priority, as well as a long overdue quality-of-life improvement. However, to prevent new adventurers from accidentally entering Atoraxxion via the Ancient Stone Chamber, we retained the minimum level requirement as before.
  • Worn by time, a portion of the Ancient Stone Chamber has crumbled, revealing a hidden space.
    • The "Talibre's Door - Sol Magia" located within the hidden space has activated its emergency protocol.
    • Now you can interact with "Talibre's Door - Sol Magia" at Ancient Stone Chamber to enter Atoraxxion without having progressed through the Atoraxxion main questline.
    • Progress through the Atoraxxion questline to remove the emergency protocol from "Talibre's Door - Sol Magia" and activate it normally, which will change it to shine radiantly.
    • Only adventurers who have reached level 60 or above can set foot in Atoraxxion.
    • Note that the button to move to Atoraxxion will not be displayed while a quest that requires interaction with "Talibre's Door - Sol Magia" in the Ancient Stone Chamber is on progress.



Aakman Temple, Hystria Ruins - Ancient Teleporter

  • As the entrances to the Ancient Ruins were revealed, the Ancient Teleporter that used to appear and disappear like a mirage in the Great Desert of Valencia began to resonate with those entrances.
    • Changed the Ancient Teleporter to Hystria Ruins and Aakman Temple so that it can be distinguished even without completing the Light of Hystria Ruins quest.

  • Added a "Quit Season" function for adventurers who wish to quit the ongoing season without graduating.
    • If you wish to start a new season, such as when returning after a long break, you can use the "Quit Season" function in the Season Pass.
      • Important information will appear displaying points to be aware of when quitting the season, and you will be asked to acknowledge this.
    • Quitting the season consumes 1 Season Character Ticket.
    • Only Tuvala gear will be converted into normal gear when quitting the season and all other seasonal items will be deleted.
    • Quitting the season removes access to the Season Server, Season Pass rewards, Season content, Season Challenges, and event progress/rewards.

Choose Your TET (IV) Blackstar Weapon → Godr-Ayed Weapon

  • Added the feature to exchange TET (IV) Blackstar weapons that cannot be registered on the Central Market into Godr-Ayed weapons.
    • You can proceed with the questline via Merindora, the Eldest Spirit in Grána. Bring her the Scorching Sun Crystal and an un-registerable TET (IV) Blackstar weapon to exchange into a Godr-Ayed weapon.
    • The exchanged Godr-Ayed weapon also cannot be registered on the Central Market.
      • ※ You can also exchange PEN (V) Godr-Ayed weapon ↔ PEN (V) Blackstar weapon, and the branded Family Name will remain intact after the exchange.


Beginner Black Stone Consolidation

  • Consolidated both Beginner Black Stone (Weapon)/(Armor) into one uniform item, Beginner Black Stone.
    • Beginner Black Stone (Weapon)/(Armor) obtained via Challenges or the Season Pass will now be given as Beginner Black Stone.
    • Naru gear can now be enhanced using the Beginner Black Stone without distinction between (Weapon)/(Armor).
      • ※ Beginner Black Stones that can be obtained via Heating will now also be obtained as consolidated Beginner Black Stone.

Movement of Outfits from regular Inventory to Pearl Inventory

  • Improved the storage of equipable outfit items by moving them from the regular Inventory to the Pearl Inventory.
    • Equipable items that were stored in the regular Inventory have been moved to the Pearl Inventory.
※ After equipping an outfit item stored in the regular Inventory and then unequipping will move it to the Pearl Inventory.


Individual & Party Elixir Consolidation

We've improved elixirs so you no longer need to craft [Party] versions to use them in a party.
Simply using a normal elixir will grant its effects and duration to any party members in the vicinity..
We sought to implement this change so our adventurers won't have to spend loads of time crafting elixirs specific to party content. Any Aal's Tear purchased to craft party elixirs can be sold back to vendors for their purchase price.
  • Improved the normal versions of elixirs to now apply their effects to all members in a party.
    • Any affected elixirs have had their icon changed to their party version.

    • The Simple Alchemy recipe to craft [Party] elixirs with "Aal's Tear" and normal elixirs has been removed.
    • Aal's Tear has been removed from NPC shops.
    • You can resell any Aal's Tear in possession for the purchase price (21,000 Silver) to vendors.

Today’s patch brings changes to some Monster Zones.

We've adjusted the expected revenue from loot in the Crypt of Resting Thoughts, Olun's Valley, Ash Forest, and Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Underground). Unlike the previous system, the max AP softcap for these Monster Zones has been set to 830 AP, making the areas more effective for those with higher level equipment. However, as the max AP increases, the HP of monsters has been adjusted to prevent them from being defeated too quickly, and to compensate for this we've increased the number of junk items dropped.

Improved Guild Boss Loot

Guild Boss Subjugation, where adventurers accompany their guild members in defeating bosses, will undergo some changes. Guild Boss Subjugation was initially designed as a fun gathering place where adventurers from the same guild could meet once a week, enjoy together, and share stories. However, with the recent increase in PvE revenue, it seems that the motivation to participate in Guild Boss Subjugation is insufficient, so we have adjusted the loot of bosses loot.

Also, Giant Mudster, Ferrid, and Puturum have been modified to allow for a more exciting combat experience. We have removed inconvenient mechanics, changed existing patterns, or added new ones to facilitate a more refreshing combat experience. We hope that these improvements to Guild Boss Subjugation will make it a fun gathering place for more adventurers in various guilds.

Quest Items

Small changes are coming to the items obtained from Main quests. New adventurers often found it difficult to know how to use or handle items obtained from completing Main quests, resulting in them taking up space in their inventory or storage. Now, these items will have descriptions added to them that they can be sold at shops for a small amount of silver or kept as souvenirs, if you so desire.
Also, during quest progression, obtaining various items could clutter up the inventory. Some of these items have been removed or improved so that quests can be progressed without having them.
Lastly, for quest items with a designated usage, we've added text in their descriptions to guide you on how to use them.
