[Purchase]

Q. I purchased the Ultimate Bundle pack, and haven’t received my items.
A. You will need to collect your items from your mail. Press Start> Mail and collect the items in a safe zone. If you have collected them, you can find the items in your Pearl Inventory. Go to your inventory and press RB to cycle to your Pearl Inventory.
If you still can’t find your items, or your items were not in your mail, please make sure that you are playing on the region that the game was purchased on. If you purchased a European licence, then your items will be on the EU server. If you have a dispute, please contact customer support at https://www.xbox.playblackdesert.com/Support.

[Ring Menu]

Q. How to add potions/skills on quickbar?
A. You can add potions/skills to your quick bar by adding them to the ring menu. If you place just 1 item/skill/social action on a ring menu, it will become a quick slot. Placing 2 different items/skills/social actions on a ring menu will turn it into a radial menu, where you can select what you need.

Q. What is the ring menu?
A. The ring menu allows you to quickly access and use many features of the game. The content of your ring menus are completely up to you. The quick slot option will allow an item or action to be instantly cast when used. The ring menu allows you to select from one of 8 set actions.

Q. How do I sprint?
A. You can press the LT button to sprint.

Q. I do not know how to stow my character's weapon.
A. Press RS button to stow your character's weapon.

Q. I do not know how to crouch
A. Press LB button to crouch.

Q. How to toggle auto-run
A. Press LS down to start auto-running to your current destination.

[Map Functions]

Q. How can I see the world map?
A. Press start then select the 'World Map' button.

Q. Is there any option to find nearest npc on map?
A. Open world map and press Dpad(Down) button to find nearby NPC.

Q. I can't find a specific NPC
A. The NPCs in Black Desert are special. Some NPCs are around at all times, while others are only available during night or day, and some are available only during the weekdays or weekends.

Q. If you don't see the NPC that you want to interact with, you can try visiting at other times.
A. If you have Knowledge about the NPC, you can check out their working hours.

[UI + Camera]

Q. How can I zoom the camera in/out?
A. Hold down RS for 2 seconds, then push up to zoom in and pull down down to zoom out.

Q. How to adjust camera position.
A. Hold down RS for 2 seconds and use the D-pad to adjust camera position.

Q. I want to take nice screenshots! How can I turn on photo mode?
A. Photo mode can be activated through the ring menu settings. You can edit your own ring menu by going to 'Edit Ring Menu'.

Q. What is observe mode?
A. Observe mode allows you to move the camera around without your character getting in the way. To
access the observe mode, you will need to either lean back against a wall (back your character into a wall) or sit down (at the edge of something, press LB to sit on it). By pressing and holding the 'Y' button, you will activate the free cam.

Q. How do I turn off chat?
A. You can turn chat off with the ring menu setting. Go to Edit Ring Menu and add the option to turn off chat there. Even if you turn off the chat, you can still view the chat by pressing the view button.

Q. How do I edit the UI?
A. Unfortunately you are not able to customize the UI.

Q. I cannot use my beauty album feature

A. In order to use the beauty album feature, you need to make sure that your Xbox privileges are set to Everybody. In order to do so, please follow the steps below:
Xbox Menu -> Settings (gear icon) -> Account -> Privacy & online safety -> Xbox Live privacy -> View details & customize -> Communication & multiplayer-> change the settings to Allow and Everybody

[Economy]

Q. System message is telling me to invest in a node. What is a node?
A. Nodes are locations on the map where you can invest contribution points to establish trade routes and places where you can send workers to gather resources. By sending workers to gather resources, you can collect all the materials needed to craft armor or make boats, without doing all the heavy work!

Q. I want to send my workers to Toscani farm. But I do not know how to build a node network.
A. Cities act as the start of any Node network. There is no need to invest in the city node, and all players have these nodes activated by default. To start building your node network, you will need to find the node manager of the nodes you want to invest in. Once you have found them, press the ‘Node Management’ option in the dialogue window and choose to invest in that node. Remember that the node will need to be connected to your current node network, or a major city for you to invest.

Q. How can I hire workers?
A. Workers can be hired at the Worker Supervisor NPC located in towns and cities across the Black Desert world. By talking to this NPC and selecting the ‘Hire Worker’ option, you will be presented with a worker to hire.

Q. How can I hire MORE workers?
A. You will need to purchase ‘Lodgings’ in a city or town from where you are hiring the workers. You can find a guide on how to purchase houses here: https://www.xbox.playblackdesert.com/Wiki#Housing.

Q. How can I buy a house in game?
A. You can purchase houses from the world map screen. Find the city you need to purchase the property in and press the ‘A’ button. This will open up a ring menu, and from there you will need to press the ‘Enter’ button which will show you a more detailed map of the city.

Q. How do I withdraw the contribution points that I invested in storage and residence?
A. In order to retrieve the Contribution Points that you invested in storage or residence, click the house's address and then press the sell button.

[Steps]
1. Open the World Map
2. Click on the town or city where the Storage you've purchased is located.
3. Click the address of the residence that you're using as Storage.

Q. How do I increase my energy?
A. In the world of Black Desert, Energy and Knowledge are closely linked.
Your Energy goes up as your Knowledge increases.
Talk with all the NPCs in a town and visit new locations.
It will increase your maximum Energy.
Please refer to the following guide if you want to increase your Energy more efficiently.

Q. How do I increase my Contribution Points?
A. Contribution Points are very useful in Black Desert.

You can use the Contribution Points and purchase a house and use it as a Workshop, Storage or an Investment Bank.
You can also invest in Production Nodes and order workers to start production.
Just like when your character levels up after accumulating enough EXP,
you can earn 1 Contribution Point when your Contribution EXP reaches a certain level.

The most basic way to earn Contribution Point is by completing a quest.
If you carry out all the quests that gives you Contribution EXP, you'll be able to earn Contribution EXP and earn Contribution Points as a result.

[Other Functions]

Q. How to enhance weapons and armors?
A. To enhance, you will first need to talk to the Black Spirit and choose the ‘Enhance’ option. This option will then open up the enhancement window. Choose which item you want to enhance, put black stone (weapons) or black stone (armors), and press enhance.

Q. I created my guild. How can I invite guild members?
A. You must add him/her on friends list first to invite new guild members. You can also invite people by meeting them in game and pressing LT, and selecting invite to guild.

Q. I can't move my character!
A. If your character is stuck underneath the landscape or gets stuck between objects, you can use the Escape function to solve the problem. The escape function will transport your character to the nearest safe zone.

Q. How do I use merv's palette?
A. Merv's Palette is a temporary item that allows you to dye parts of your costume. You can either purchase Merv's palette alone, but it also comes with the Value Pack.

The Dyes you choose will remain on your armor until Merv's Palette expires. When you decide to purchase it again, the colors will come back. If you want to use the dye, make sure to use the bleach function to remove any other dyes your gear may have.

Q. I want to buy something, but they don't sell it at the shop!
A. If you can't find an item you're looking for from an NPC, try the Central Market. The Central Market is a place for players to buy and sell items between each other that they have picked up on their adventures. You can find out more about the Central Marketplace in our User Manual.

Q. I can't change my server.
A. There is a 15-minute wait time before changing servers.
You can change the server freely after 15 minutes.

Q. Do I have to finish all the quests?
A. If you want a full experience into the detailed world of Black Desert, we recommend that you go at your own pace completing one or two quests at a time.
If you would rather level up faster, we recommend that you focus on the Main Quests that the Black Spirit gives you then back to the other ones later.

You will reach level 50 rather easily if you keep completing the Main quests.
You can see the quest order by clicking the 'Main' tab in the Quests menu.

Q. I received an item in the Mail, but it is not in my inventory.
A. Normal items received through box will be on "Inventory", but paid items will be sent to your "Pearl Inventory". Press 'RB' on the inventory menu to select the Pearl Inventory.

Q. How can I receive items via challenges?
A. Open the start menu and press the profile button. Press RT to move cycle to the challenges tab, then you can receive rewards from there.

Q. How can I increase the Amity with an NPC?
A. You can increase Amity through different methods.The easiest way is through a conversation.
You just need to start a conversation with a NPC, and the most important thing here is the 'Requirement'.
If you don't fulfill the requirement, you can't get any rewards.

You also need to have enough Knowledge in things NPC is interested in, as well as enough Energy.
You can have a conversation with the NPC when you have Knowledge that falls within the NPC's interest.
But the amount of Energy that you need to use while having a conversation can increase depending on the Amity.

The NPC's Zodiac sign appears when you start a conversation with the NPC.
Carry on with the conversation by right-clicking or dragging the Knowledge icon located at the bottom of the empty circle .

There is Interest Level and Favor in Knowledge.
Here, the effect is different depending on the Interest Level and the Favor you have with the NPC you talking to.
The Interest Level means success rate and the Favor you gain is related Amity that you earn at the end of the conversation.

When you have a successful conversation, you should try talking to them again.
Energy will not get spent when you have consecutive conversations,and you will get more Amity if you succeed.
But if you fail, you won't get the Amity you just earned so you should be cautious.

Another way to increase Amity is by greeting the NPC.
You can increase the Amity by greeting the NPC even if you don't have Knowledge in things NPC is interested in.
You should definitely use this method when you find it difficult to earn Knowledge that the NPC is interested in.
You spend 3 Energy when you greet a NPC, and the Amity will increase by 3 as well.

Q. How can I cancel quests?
A. Open your quest window and press 'X' on the quest you wish to forfeit.

Q. Where do I see current and future events?
A. Ongoing and future events will be posted on our website.

Q. How do I join Red Battlefield?
A. Go to the start menu, and press the Red Battlefield button. You can then select a server to join.

Q. How do I join a guild?
A. To join a guild, you will need to either be on a guild leaders friends list, or meet them in game and receive an invite there.

[Life Skills]

Q. My garden disappeared suddenly.
A. If you don't plant, harvest or breed crops for a week after you build a fence, the fence will automatically get removed.
Any crops that you didn't harvest will also disappear when the fence is removed.

The fence that is removed will be sent to a nearby town's storage.
If there are no crops present, you can remove it and collect it yourself.
You can also carry the fence with you and plant crops in places you like.

Q. My horse died, where can I get it back?
A. If your horse died, you can recover horses at the stable NPC.

[Game]

Q. Why can’t I damage Red Nose?
A. You must gain knowledge about a monster before you can see their life bar deplete.
Take note of its life bar slowly becoming darker red once you have knowledge of a monster you will be able to defeat them easier depending on the rank of your knowledge.

Q. I failed to defeat the boss when I used the summon scroll now he is gone and I am unable to complete the quest.
A. Cancel the quest and summon the Black Spirit to retake the quest it will give you a new summon scroll.
