Adventurers,
Embrace the power of the Kibelius Spear as Sage Awakening is now available. This update will also bring PvE balance changes for various classes, and additions to the Star’s End map! Check out all the details from this weeks update below!
Sage Awakens
Sages Awakening has been added. Journey through the story of the one who has returned, and unlock the powerful Kibelius weapon to storm your opponents.
- To awaken your Sage, you will need to be Lv.56 or higher and complete the questline ‘[Sage Awakening] Hurried Footsteps’. This questline is available from the Black Spirit under the ‘Suggested’ tab.
- In the case of Adventurers who have yet to complete the ‘[Sage Succession] Meeting of Destinies’, the questline for awakening will become available once the Succession quest has been completed.
Monster Changes
● The winds of change are rustling through the lands of Star’s End. The spread of the sickening stench of the Black Star consumes everything around it. Yet according to reports, the Apostles of the Corruption are seemingly giving themselves to the Blackstar, sacrificing their lives for some unknown reason. Expect changes to come to the region soon.
● Changed the tracking feature so that when tracking monsters on a category level, only the selected monsters will be highlighted on the minimap.
Character Changes
● All classes can now summon the Black Spirit while moving.
- You can summon the Black Spirit while riding on horses, even when using Sprint. However you cannot summon the Black Spirit while using other skills.
- Your character will switch to an idle stance (no weapons drawn) when summoning the Black Spirit.
We’ve made it a bit easier to summon the Black Spirit. It was particularly annoying to dismount to talk with the Black Spirit during quests, so todays update will allow you to summon the Black Spirit even while mounted. After all, when you really think about it, the Black Spirit isn’t so special that we need to get off our horse to talk about it. |
● Sorceress, Ranger, Berserker, Musa, Maewha and Lahn have been improved so that they can combo skills better while sprinting.
● Animations while wearing some of the costumes have been changed to appear more naturally.
● The number of slots expandable with a Character Slot Expansion Coupon has been increased to 23 slots. (Updated)
Tamer
● Removed the blurring effect while attacking with Heilang.● Changed the PvE damage and number of hits for the following skills.

● Prime: Trample – Improved the skill to evenly deal damage withing the adjusted area of effect.
● Prime: Jolt Wave – Improved the skill to evenly deal damage within the adjusted area of effect.
Many Adventurers who play Succession Tamer use Prime: Whiplash as their main skill. We therefore tried to improve both Prime: Bolt Wave and Prime: Jolt Wave so the two skills can be used in addition to Prime: Whiplash, thus creating a richer and more diverse PvE gameplay experience. |

Awakening Kunoichi often ends up behind a monster after using her Main Weapon skills, which makes it inconvenient to switch back to Awakening. To alleciate this, we added the ‘no collision while moving’ effect to Half Moon Slash so that Kunoichi could easily attack from behind while in Awakening stance. We also increased the PvE damage for her skills other than Lethal Spin Spree so that you could continuously deal damage even when Lethal Spin Spree was on cooldown. |

Ranger’s Awakening skills are, for the most part, powerful, but they were also designed with long cooldowns. As a result, many Adventurers would rely on main weapon skills instead of Awakening skills when fighting monsters that required continuous damage dealt over time. To improve on this, we adjusted the PvE damage of her Awakening skills so that Ranger could continuously deal damage in hunting grounds with her combos. |

UI
● Added information regarding the success rates of learning individual skills to show when using Theiah’s Orb to change fairy skills.
We added a feature that will allow you to view the probability of learning each skill when you use Theiah’s Orb to change your fairy’s skills. The probabilities shown were rounded up to the thousandths, so may not add up to an even 100%. |
● Fixed the Knowledge (Ecology) target function so that it saves after changing characters.
● Added a function that will allow you to check if a name is available before trying to create a character, family or guild name.
- This function will allow you to check if a name can be used without committing to the name immediately.
We've added a function to check for duplicate names so Adventurers can now check to see if there are any pre-existing names before committing. |
● Fixed an issue where the World Boss Alarm could interfere with other UI elements.
● Fixed an issue where the Character bound status of items in the inventory would display incorrectly when viewing them through the disconnect menu.
System
● Fixed an issue where prices that shouldn’t change, would change, when items of a certain category on pre-orders for maximum or minimum prices would be sold.
The ‘Certain Categories’ mentioned here refers to weapons like Kzarka, Dandelion, and Blackstar. To prevent Central Market abuse, we put weapons into the same category regardless of grade, so that prices will shift no matter what item is sold. Prices that should have remained the same shifted while in this process, and we have fixed this issue. |
Other Changes
● Changed the loading screen to include Hashashin, Berserker, Warrior, Ranger and Witch.● Fixed an issue where the skirts and cape for Nova and Sage respectively, would flutter excessively.
● Fixed an issue where adventurers participating in guild war could not fight back against an enemy under Guild Protection that boarded a ship and used forced PvP to attack them.
● Changed the main quest boss Hexe Marie to no longer take damage during her animation for encountering an enemy.
