The Great Expedition has arrived and with it, a multitude of events! The world of Black Desert is celebrating, and a variety of NPCs are offering their services in getting you to the seas! They will help you gain more Saling EXP or grant you access to a plethora of new boats. The ocean is vast and with a little bit of help, it is yours to command.

Event I - More Sailing EXP?!

The Great Expedition is not for any rookie sailor. You will need grit, heart, and a good handle on sailing! That being said, some residents of the Black Desert world are willing to grant you a good amount of Sailing EXP, provided that you complete some of their quests!

During the event period, you will be able to gain twice the amount of Sailing EXP when completing the quests listed below!

※ Sailing EXP will be doubled from the following quest completion rewards. However, there will not be additional rewards.

* : New quests added to Black Desert

※ The 2x sailing EXP event will not apply to the daily quests added to Oquilla’s Eye.

Event II - POG for Epheria Cog!

What is Sailing EXP if you don’t have a boat? Complete the 1-hour Play-Time Challenge to obtain ‘[Event] Ship License Piece: Epheria Cog x1’. If you obtain 6 or more of these pieces, you will be able to exchange them for a ‘Ship Licence: Epheria Cog (Kalis-Certified)’!

[ ! ] How to obtain a Ship License: Epheria Cog (Kalis-Certified)

After obtaining ‘[Event] Ship License Piece: Epheria Cog’ x6 or more, speak with the Wharf Manager of Velia, Croix, to exchange the items for a ‘Ship License: Epheria Cog (Kalis-Certified)’.  

- You will be able to exchange the ‘Event’ Ship License Piece: Epheria Cog’ items after the event period is over.

※ Epheria Cog has lower combat ability and capacity compared to other ships, but is a new ship that boasts fast speeds.

※ Epheria Cog cannot be used once its durability is depleted.

Event III - Skulls for Sculls

While the Great Expedition has been welcomed by the majority of the Black Desert World, Shiela, Crio, and Gershman are having issues with certain monsters that can now be found. They have put a bounty on certain monsters, promising to reward Adventurers with an ‘[Event] Ancient Coin of the Deep Sea’.

While the coins are worth their weight in Silver (2,200,000 Silver to be exact), rumor has it that Igor Bartali is willing to trade ship licenses for these coins.

Event Details

During the event period, collect certain types of loot from Protty Cave and Sycraia so that you can exchange them for even better items!

※ Gershman will be removed following the June 8^th (UTC+1) Maintenance.

※ You can only exchange the items during the event period. 

[Event] Ancient Coin of the Deep Sea items can be exchanged for the following:

※ Speak to the NPC and press on Quest to be able to exchange. Each exchange can be done once per family.

- The exchange quests do not count towards Rulapee’s Adventure Log.

※ You will be able to exchange the items after the event period.

- Event Challenges are available once a day per family during the event period and will reset at the following times:

* NA: 05:00 PM (PDT) / EU: 01:00 AM (UTC+1) / ASIA: 09:00 AM (GMT+9)

- Items that have been given as an event reward may have restrictions in trading or selling and may have an expiration date.

- Items given in this event may be family bound or character bound. Please check each item before using them as they may vary depending on the item. Items that are character bound cannot be moved or switched. There also may be restrictions on sale and use of items as well.

- Deleted rewards cannot be recovered.

- Pearl Abyss reserves the right to change or cancel the event depending on mitigating circumstances.

- Any changes to the event will be made on this page.

- Participating in the event using inappropriate methods will result in the cancellation or retrieval of your reward, as well as restrictions from the game.

- Actions that violate that the Terms of Service agreement may cancel your qualification as a participant or may even lead to retrieval of your reward.
