Trading Activity Revamp
There have been significant changes to trading in Black Desert. Trade items can now only be purchased at designated nodes and can only be sold in representative towns in major cities or territories.
Previously, there existed a "price warranty period" when purchasing trade items. Now, the price will depend on the "time of purchase" rather than on the item itself. For example, if you buy 10 units of Trade Item A from Velia Farm, this item will be stored in the "Order Contract Log" assigned to each Family, and all units of Trade Item A purchased together will have the same "price warranty period". The Order Contract Log can be managed separately at each node where trading is available (like storage), and the price warranty period allows for all units to be sold at the same price until the period expires, rather than immediately affecting the price after a certain amount of time has passed. (The price warranty period will last for 7 days from the time of purchase, and for 3 hours upon retrieval.)
There have also been changes in market prices. The market price will now change at a set time (once every 4 hours) instead of fluctuating based on random sales. Prices will rise or fall based on probability, with a maximum increase of 300%. (This market price is not affected by the sale of trade goods by other adventurers and is the same across all servers.)
In addition, a "special fluctuation" will occur throughout the entire territory, where trade item prices will change significantly at fixed times. Information on these fluctuations can be gathered through "rumors" from residents in each territory, which can somewhat help in predicting theese changes in advance. You can find a collection of these rumors in the Old Moon Guild's . These rumors may or may not be applied 4 hours after circulating, or may even be incorrect. For example, if there were rumors about a sudden surge in prices, the prices may really surge, remain unchanged, or even drop sharply. Therefore, Adventurers should directly confirm the truth of these rumors and increase the accuracy of their predictions for the market fluctuations by observing the residents of the Black Desert world.
For example, if there is a rumor that food prices are skyrocketing in the Calpheon region, you can visit the Calpheon Northern Wheat Plantation and observe the residents' complaints about this year's unfruitful harvest. (On rare occasions the residents may show no response. Thus, considering the territory's overall situation and careful judgment will be crucial.)
In summary, for players to aim for profitable sales, they must be smart in deciding when to buy goods, how much to buy, how to store them, and in analyzing the price trends within the price guarantee period.
This trade system update is just the beginning, and there will be more upcoming events and further improvements to maritime trade.
We ask for your continued support and anticipation of these upcoming changes as well.

- Special price fluctuations will occur after the 15% market price changes, which occurs every 4 hours.
- Market prices will change by each territory and category of trade item. Such categories are listed below.
- General Goods, Luxury, Food, Medicine, Military Supply, Relic, Clothing, Raw Material
- Before special price fluctuations occur, information can be gathered in advance to predict the change in market prices.
- You can see rumors about trade items that may be affected by the special price fluctuations through the "Old Moon Guild Newsletter", which can be accessed through the Life tab in the Menu.
- Special price fluctuations will differ by territory and item category, and you'll have access to rumors about 2-3 out of the 8 item categories.
- Rumors may or may not be applied 4 hours after circulating or may even be incorrect.
- Adventurers can directly confirm the veracity of these rumors by observing the residents of the Black Desert world.
- However, the residents may sometimes not speak of any rumors at all as information has only been slipped to Adventurers. Thus, fluctuations may occur even if the player did not hear any rumors.
- You can see rumors about trade items that may be affected by the special price fluctuations through the "Old Moon Guild Newsletter", which can be accessed through the Life tab in the Menu.
"I really like that one! Can't you just sell another one?"
"One per person really means one per person! No exceptions!"
"How much longer is the wait?"
"I think rubies suit me!"
"Me... likey shiny things."
"My apologies. We're out of stock, so there's no more to sell."
"There must be a way... please?"
As rumored, people are flocking to buy luxury item, crystals.
If so many people want crystals, won't the price go up soon?
"I'm glad I can get a kite for my child as they're quite affordable now."
"Haha, you really sought after it, and your wish came true!"
"Yeah!! I really like you, granny!!"
The price of kites, once a general good, has plummeted, with even children playing with them.
Should I keep them in storage for a while until the price goes up?

Barrier of Infestation
Over the course of our updates, we’ve introduced a variety of different ways to increase your (displayed) AP & DP. We wanted our Adventurers to be able to enjoy the game by setting new goals in character progression that goes beyond just focusing on upgrading gear. And so, the “Barrier of Infestation” is our latest addition in realizing this desire. Having its origins in feedback from Adventurers wanting to take on World Bosses 1-on-1, the Kzarka for the Barrier of Infestation is truly a fearsome foe.
- Added the Barrier of Infestation.
- Hadum, the God of Despair, has extended their reach to the Lord of Corruption in Serendia Shrine, where the lair of Kzarka lies. To resist against Hadum's infestation, Kzarka has gone berserk. This has caused Ahib Lejenti to now look for mighty Adventurers to bring a swift end to Hadum’s plan by destroying the Barrier of Infestation, which keeps the enraged evil deity bound, to soothe Kzarka's rage and return it to slumber.
- Having gone berserk to fight off Hadum's infestation, Kzarka now displays an incredibly powerful and frightening arsenal of spells, but at the cost of its health pool.
- You can start the Barrier of Infestation content through a weekly quest on the Elvia Realm servers. The barrier is divided into five levels and you have to face Kzarka in each of them alone. You can start with Level 1 to 3 in a group of 3 Adventurers, but once you make your way to Levels 4-5, you will need to face Kzarka alone.
- For each level, you will be given a 7-minute time limit. You must complete the attempt within 7 minutes to receive your reward.
- You can enter the Barrier of Infestation content after completing the questline "[Elvia] Obsidian Ashes" in Suggested quests then accepting the quest "[Elvia Co-op] Dreary Moonlight" from the Black Spirit.
- You must be Lv. 61 or higher to proceed with the quest "[Elvia] Obsidian Ashes." You can only accept the quest "[Elvia Co-op] Dreary Moonlight" on the Elvia Realm server.

Tier 5 Pet
The Adventurer's faithful companions can now be trained to Tier 5 and also be appointed as Alpha Pets.
You can now train Tier 4 pets up to Tier 5 pets, who will also gain the ability to be appointed as Alpha Pets.
Alpha Pets will keep other pets in your pack in line to make sure they will all work together to aid you in your adventures.
The Alpha Pet's Talent will increase by 1 additional level, and their "Pack Leader" skill will increase the looting speed of all of your other pets nearby.
You can only appoint one Tier 5 pet as the alpha, and any other Tier 5 pets checked out will display the same stats as other Tier 4 pets.
We originally designed the Tier 5 pets to boast a greater variety of skills or effects, akin to an upgraded Tier 4 pet, so to speak.
However, we felt that the process to "upgrade" to a Tier 5 pet would prove too taxing on our Adventurers, so we decided to change the focus to increasing the pet looting speeds.
We bid you happy adventuring with your cute pets and their alpha pack leader.

Maegu
The Flower Shroud applies Forward Guard and Stun on attacks 1 and 2. This skill is extremely powerful during PvP as it debuffs opponents and deals significant levels of damage.
Similarly, Spirited Away has Forward Guard and a high HP Recovery effect, while also dealing significant PvP damage. In order to balance these skills that apply several different effects, we have lowered the PvP damage of the two skills.
Furthermore, Foxflare and Petal Play were overwhelming due to their wide range, strong CC effects, and high PvP damage. Although they remain Maegu’s primary skills, adjustments were made to distribute the damage more evenly when targeting multiple enemies.
