【 MAJOR UPDATES - The Mountain of Eternal Winter】
- The "Mountain of Eternal Winter (Everfrost)" is now available in the world of Black Desert.
Character Slot Expansion and Season Character Ticket
- With the Mountain of Eternal Winter update, increased the max chatacter slots expandable with Character Slot Expansion Coupon by 1.
- Before Expansion: 32 slots → After Expansion: 33 slots
- Distributed one Season Character Ticket.
Main Quests and Consecutive Quests
- Newly created characters can now choose to start in either the Mountain of Eternal Winter, Land of the Morning Light, or the Ancient Stone Chamber.
- The "Select Starting Zone" UI will display upon pressing the "Create Character" button in the Character Creation window.
- Added the "[Everfrost] Search for the Holy Flame" quest to begin the Mountain of Eternal Winter main questline.
- You'll be able to accept this quest through the Black Spirit if you meet the following conditions.
New Adventurer | Select "Mountain of Eternal Winter" with a newly created character (Lv. 1) |

※ Do note that your character must be dismounted during cutscenes in the main questline where your character is talking with NPCs.
- If the cutscene does not start, make sure that your character is dismounted, or check the Quest window or widget to see if you've navigated to the correct location.
※ Once you reach Lv. 49, you will need to accept the [To Level 50!] Go Beyond Your Own Limits quest by summoning the Black Spirit and complete it to reach Lv. 50.
- This quest can be completed by talking to the Black Spirit.
- You can accept the "[Sights of Mediah] Leaving Everfrost" quest upon completing "[Everfrost] Beyond the Doors of Alyaelli" from the Black Spirit.
※ You may find main questlines of other regions unavailable while proceeding with the "[Everfrost]" questline.
- Added the "[Sights of Mediah] Leaving Everfrost" quest.
- This quest was created for Adventurers who began and completed the Mountain of Eternal Winter main questline with a newly created character from Lv. 1.
- Only characters who have completed the Mountain of Eternal Winter main questline may start this quest without any level requirements.
- Added the "Journey to the Mountain of Eternal Winter with Rulupee" quests, which is available upon completing the Everfrost main questline.
- This quest is available to characters Lv. 56 or higher via the Black Spirit - Quest - Event tab.
- You will need to have completed the "[Mountain of Eternal Winter] In Search of the Flame that Consumes Gods" main quest.
- Completing this quest will award you with a large amount of Contribution EXP and the "Rulupee's Everfrost Travel Log" Knowledge entry.
- Completing this questline will award you with the special title and a Winter Wood Bed.

Weather and Effects

Murrowak's Labyrinth

Murrowak's Labyrinth can be found deep within the Sherekhan Abandoned Iron Mine on top the Black Mountain. |
- Interact with the Murrowak Burrow to enter or exit Murrowak's Labyrinth, as well as moving within the labyrinth.
- Fight in Murrowak's Labyrinth and you may encounter the "General" Murrasto himself.
- The "General" Murrasto will constantly call upon swarms of Murraska mid-battle, and they will move more strategically under his leadership.
- Defeat the "General" Murrasto to obtain the Murrowak Crystal Carapace.
- The queen "Vercedes" appears in Murrowak's Labyrinth once certain conditions are met.
- To fully awaken Queen Vercedes, you need to silence at least four labyrinths.
- To awaken Queen Vercedes, you must first silence one labyrinth to start the awakening timer, and even if this condition is met, you must silence at least four labyrinths for her to fully awaken.
- You cannot use Lafi Bedmountain's Upgraded Compass to move to Murrowak's Labyrinth.
- To fully awaken Queen Vercedes, you need to silence at least four labyrinths.
- The Queen of the Labyrinth, Vercedes, will naturally die approximately 20 minutes after the battle begins.
- Added a chance encounter with "Violent Leader".
- To prevent adventurers from invading Murrowak's Labyrinth, the Murraska broods have started to act more strategically.
- Defeat the "Violent Leader" Ironclad Murraska to obtain the Murrowak Crystal Carapace.
- If a large number of Murrowak Burrows appear, a warning message will be issued, and an "Earth-shaking" Ironclad Murraska will join the battle.
- This monster burrows into the ground faster than the "Earth-shaking" Ironclad Murraska and attacks adventurers with even more powerful shockwaves.
- To prevent adventurers from invading Murrowak's Labyrinth, the Murraska broods have started to act more strategically.
Jade Starlight Forest
Flames made from jadeite can be seen throughout this forest and they believe that the Dragon that lost its way will return after seeing the flames."

You can find Winter Tree Fossils spread all over the Mountain of Eternal Winter region. You can change the difficulty by interacting with a Dreadwinter Tree Fossil, and use 100 Energy to make these tainted spirits spawn as well. |
- For normal difficulty of a Winter Tree Fossil, "Wanewinter Guardian" Erebjork may appear by chance.
- When defeating "Violent" Breukia, there is a chance "Wanewinter Guardian" Erebjork will appear.
- Loot obtained by defeating "Brimming with Chilling Energies" Takium from a Winter Tree Fossil is the same as loot from the following monsters:
- "Wise" Komau, "Violent" Breukia, "Speedy" Panvalla
- Monsters will continue to spawn periodically during combat with a Winter Tree Fossil.
- If the number of monsters from the Winter Tree Fossil exceeds a certain limit, the Winter Tree Fossil will be deactivated.
- Winter Tree Fossil monster zones do not have Increased Item Drop Rate effect applied.
- If the number of monsters from the Winter Tree Fossil exceeds a certain limit, the Winter Tree Fossil will be deactivated.
Erethea's Limbo

You can enter Erethea's Limbo via the Haven of Slumbering Origin located deep within the Mountain of Eternal Winter. |
- You can obtain "Forgotten Witch's Token" in all monster zones at the Mountain of Eternal Winter.
- Selecting the item will take you to Erethea's Limbo and, with the item in your possession, you can proceed with the trial there.
- The trial at Erethea's Limbo will end 60 minutes after it begins.
- When you enter Erethea's Limbo with the "Forgotten Witch's Token" in your possession, symbols will appear on four gems.
- The goal of Erethea's Limbo is to find all the chambers with the relevant symbols engraved on them and to overcome all the trials.
- Interacting with the door in each chamber will take you to another chamber with a different symbol.
- All the doors at the starting point are activated already, but the doors of other chambers will open when you overcome a trial.
- The trial will begin once you enter another chamber and, depending on how well you've accomplished the requirement for each trial, one to three doors will open.
- Due to this, a door you are attempting to open may not open.
- The color of the symbol will be displayed on the opened doors, and doors that remain closed will be veiled in dark energy.
- If you move to a chamber that is not linked to the chamber with the symbol you aimed for, or if the doors with the symbols you aimed for, do not open due to failing the trial, you can return to the starting point through the doors located north of each chamber.
- When all trials in rooms you pass through with doors bearing symbols matching those engraved at the starting point are completed, all doors but those initial ones will lead to the "Golden Chamber."
- Once you move over to the Golden Chamber, you can use the "Forgotten Witch's Token" to obtain your reward, and treasure chests nearby will be activated.
Erebjork, the Dreadwinter Guardian

Fight in the Jade Starlight Forest and Dreadwinter Tree Fossils, and you may find the Erebjork crossing your path. The even mightier Erebjork can also be found within snowstorms throughout Everfrost. Erebjork will appear with her own spirit, ready to face all Adventurers who dare set foot in the Mountain of Eternal Winter. |
- Defeat Erebjork to obtain guaranteed loot of Embers of Frost x1.

- Chief Floki of the Okjinsini at Jade Starlight Forest - Path of Prophecy is waiting for the one to unravel the secrets to the Fragment of Despair.
- You can start the "[Labreska’s Helmet] Fragment of Despair" quest through Floki at the Jade Starlight Forest - Path of Prophecy.
- You will need to have completed the "[Everfrost] Beyond the Doors of Alyaelli" quest with a character at Lv. 56 or higher to begin this quest.
- Complete all quests up to "[Labreska’s Helmet] Unexpected Gain" to proceed with the crafting quest for Labreska's Helmet.
- The requirements to accept the crafting quest for Labreska's Helmet are as follows:

①. Duration and reduction rate for speed debuffs on hits reduced by approximately 50%.
- Also changed the maximum duration and speed reduction rate to 5 sec and -20%, respectively.
For example, Musa's Absolute: Backstep Slash with the "Movement Speed -50% for 10 sec on hits" debuff
has seen a 50% decrease in both duration and reduction rate, making it now Movement Speed -25% for 5 sec on hits. Technically, speed reduction rates will now only be applied up to a maximum of -20%, so the actual debuff becomes "Movement Speed -20% for 5 sec". ②. Skills now apply a uniform speed reduction rate for all skill levels (if varied prior). - Some skills may have exceptions based on their settings.
For example, Musa's Backstep Slash (I to Absolute) with the "Movement Speed -30/-40/-50/-50%" debuff,
was changed to Movement Speed -15/-20/-20/-20% due to ①. Now all skill levels have been changed to apply a uniform speed reduction rate, so the actual debuff becomes "Movement Speed -20/-20/-20/-20%". ③. Any skills that applied either only Attack or Casting Speed debuffs will now apply both speed debuffs. For example, Kunoichi's Prime: Danse Macabre with the "Attack Speed -20% for 10 sec" debuff,

▶ These skills are primarily used for movement or evasion. They are typical activated by using Direction + L2/LT (or Direction + R2/RT for classes like Musa, Maehwa, and Awakened Ranger).
What are Dash Skills?
▶ These skills are designed to close the gap with your foe. They generally involve moving forward and then continuing with an attack.

Common Changes |
①. Movement skills will now be affected by Movement Speed Increase/Decrease effects.
- Some skills will only be affected by these effects at the start of the movement, not during the movement itself. For example,
Tamer's "Leafweave" movement skill will now be affected by Movement Speed Increase/Decrease effects instead of Attack Speed. Dark Knight's "Dusk" movement skill, which was previously unaffected by speed effects, will now be affected by Movement Speed Increase/Decrease effects. Woosa's "Butterfly Step" movement skill will now only be affected by Movement Speed Increase/Decrease effects at the start of the skill. (details can be found in the skill description) ②. Dash skills will now be affected by Attack/Casting Speed Increase/Decrease effects.

In a similar vein, many of you have been using various elixirs, excluding the Frenzy Draught, to get multiple buffs. To streamline this, we've introduced the " Harmony Draught," which combines the effects of multiple alchemy elixirs into one.
With the new Harmony Draughts, you can now obtain stronger and more convenient buffs compared to using multiple individual elixirs. The crafting and usage process remains similar to the existing elixirs, ensuring that the production and consumption cycle within Black Desert's economy continues seamlessly.
We understand that some adventurers prefer crafting their own elixirs, while many others purchase them individually from the Central Market. Although this has been a positive sign of economic circulation, it has also posed a barrier due to the inconvenience of managing multiple elixirs.
The Harmony Draught aims to address this by allowing producers to craft and sell these enhanced draughts, while consumers can purchase them conveniently without having to manage multiple items. This change also supports a positive cycle where consumers can become producers by selling items obtained through defeating monsters.
Additionally, using multiple elixirs previously meant you couldn't view all buffs on one screen, nor did you feel like you had enough uses available with your Fairy's "Continuous Care" skill limited slots. Today's update with the Harmony Draught addresses these issues, reducing the burden on your inventory and weight.
Moreover, you can now access Silver (Church) Buffs at the Campsite Shop. While the price is slightly higher, we hope this provides more convenience for those who prefer it.
These updates mark the beginning of our efforts to improve your experience. Weacknowledge the feedback regarding the inconvenience of managing multiple buffs and items. While today's patch may not resolve all issues, we are committed to continuously improving the quality of life in Black Desert. Lower Grade Draught Items
Existing elixirs can be crafted into lower grade versions of the " Harmony Draught" with varying effects.
The newly crafted draughts will either have bolstered effects of the previous elixirs (Elixir of Strong Life - HP +150 → +200) or reduced negative effects (Elixir of Endless Frenzy - DP -8 → 0).
These draughts, like other draughts, cannot be used simultaneously with multiple draughts but are used in crafting the Harmony Draught.
