If you wish to traverse across large bodies of water, you’re going to need a boat. Boats are the primary way of crossing water, and can also be used to fish in the sea. There are two main ways to get a boat. Purchase a boat license from the marketplace, or to build one. If you decide to purchase a boat, then you will have to register your boat license at a wharf manager.  

To build a boat, you will need to purchase a shipyard (see: housing). From there, you can use a worker to build a boat. You will need to supply the materials needed in order to start crafting the license that is required to activate the boat. These materials can be placed in the nearest storage to your shipyard. 

Similar to wagons, boats have a lifetime duration. This means that after a certain amount of time, your boat will become unusable. This duration is different than durability.
